📍 Climate by season
Arizona has an arid desert climate in the lower elevations (Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tucson) and a cooler climate at higher elevations (Flagstaff, Grand Canyon).
Winter (November–March) — Phoenix/Scottsdale/ Tucson: highs 18–24°C (64–75°F). Pleasant and dry. Flagstaff/Grand Canyon: cold with snow.
Spring (March–May) — Warming rapidly in the desert. Highs 26–35°C (79–95°F) by May.
Summer (June–September) — Phoenix/Scottsdale/ Tucson: highs of 38–45°C (100–113°F). Extremely hot. Afternoon thunderstorms in late summer. Sedona and Flagstaff are cooler.
Fall (October–November) — Cooling down. Pleasant in the desert.
